Digestive System Blog

What Organs Do We Have in Our Body?

Oesophagus -

The Oesophagus is a muscular tube that goes from your throat to your stomach that is how you get food in your system.

Stomach -

The Stomach has 3 main functions, one is for temporary storage for food, two is for where it holds food for 2 hours or more, and three is the stomach mixing and breaking down food for digesting.

Small Intestine -

The small intestine carries out most of the digestive progress, absorbing almost all of the nutrients you get from foods into your bloodstream. The walls of the small intestine make digestive juices.

Liver -

The Liver regulates most chemical levels in the blood and excretes a product called Bile.

Large Intestine -

The purpose of the large intestine is to absorb water and salts from the material that has not been digested as food and to get rid of any waste or leftovers.
