Pak'nSave's cheapest food item's made into Delicious meals! Our C.I.P

What we did for C.I.P
What we did for C.I.P this term is that we look for cheap food items that we can turn into meals. The first thing we did was make a shopping list that had the ingredients for what we were deciding to make. We all took the ingredients from the supermarket Pak'nsave, and how we looked for ingredients from Pak'nsave was we looked on their website, where other people shop online for their food. When we made the shopping list we included what brand it was, the name of it, and how much it was. The people in my group are, Lily, Hannah, Tennessee, Jolly Rose, and Me. Where we went, I've already mentioned this, But I'll tell you again, where we got all the ingredients for our meals that we made, we found all the ingredients from their website. We made the food, and bought the items 2 weeks ago. The food we decided to make was Pasta with Pasta Sauce, and Fruit kebabs with marshmallows. The reason we made what we decided to make is because we wanted two meals, one sweet, and one salty.

Thank you for reading my blog! :)

Figuring out problems in Mathletics

What I have learnt in Mathletics
I have learnt that even if I think I cant do it, I keep on trying, I have also learned to figure out different questions in different ways, for example.... 50 - 25 = 35, How I figured that out, is because I counted back in '5's' and I got '35' as the answer. I have made a DLO to show all of you how I figure out math problems in my head.

Visualisation - Better Reading

Visualisation - Better Reading

What is Visualisation? You may ask.

When authors write books, they use describing words in their stories,

when they do that, and when you read a story that has interesting describing words, you would normally imagine a picture in your head, and sometimes when to imagine a picture in your head, you would want to try and mimic that picture inside of your head on to a piece of paper, either drawing or, writing.

What is the Task?

Our task was to listen to the story Mr Mitchell was reading and picture the facts in our head. The story he was reading was about 'The Teacher' while he was reading he also described the teacher, after he read the story he said to put the description he just read out in our head, so we did just that. After he finished reading the description of 'The Teacher' he asked us to draw the description we see in our head, this is what I was thinking the teacher looks like, here's a picture.

What we learned about Guitars in 'Beats and Beyond' Hurumanu

Beats and Beyond

What we learned about guitars

The guitars Mr Mitchell showed us are the Nylon String Guitar, Steel String Guitar, Dreadnaught Guitar, and a Backpackers Guitar. The Nylon string guitar is called that because instead of steel strings on the guitar it's a type of plastic instead, the reason the Steel string guitar is called that is because, instead of Nylon strings it has Steel instead. And if you play a Steel string guitar and you're not used to playing guitar it'll hurt your fingertips. A Dreadnaught Guitar is a Guitar with a BIG body, and last but definitely not least, the Backpackers Guitar, this guitar is called that because, it is a small guitar, and you can travel with it without it getting broken, for example, if you take your Steel string guitar on a plane, it will break, even if you get the most expensive, well protected case for it, it'll still break, so to have something like the Backpacker's guitar, is a good thing to have. Here are some definitions of some interesting things you can use on different guitars.

Tuning pegs - you put tension on the strings to tune them.

Capo - holds down all six strings at the same time.

Sound Hole - the hole in a guitar where the sound comes from.

Here are some pictures of the guitars, and Mr Mitchell playing the Guitar.
