Getting your nature-fix

Here are five ways to be healthy in nature:
  1. Take a walk now and then, through a park, or a hiking path
  2. If you want to you can hike
  3. You can walk your dog, or your cat
  4. Take care of a small plant if you're a beginner gardener
  5. You can start a garden in your back yard
You can enjoy the outdoors by going to the beach, going to a park, going to the pool, having some fun on a sunny day, walk your dog and all sorts

My poem about myself

Poem about Myself

 Toni
Silly, stupid, funny, and annoying
Mum, Dad, Dogs, Cats, Brother, Friends and Family
Food, animals, family, friends, and Mikayla
Happy, Sad, Angry
Getting chased, seeing an animal die, falling off a tree
Learning to eat, owning animals, learning to be happy
Me getting a horse, me getting a car, me getting my own farm
I live in a Neutral home with Neutral people.
Roberts

Here is an example of slam poetry.

I like this poem because the person who said all of those words actually meant it and his words were really persuasive. And meaningful, and helpful.

Wind Power

Measuring weather.

Definitions:

1. Anemometer: An anemometer is a device used for measuring wind speed and direction.
2. Beaufort wind scaleThe Beaufort scale is an empirical measure that relates wind speed to observed conditions at sea or on land.

Anemometer
MATERIALS
1. Tape
2. Pin
3. Pencil
4. 4x Plastic dishes
5. 2x Wooded kebab sticks

STEPS
1. You attached the plastic dishes onto the sticks
2. Attached the sticks into a cross, cellotape together
3. Attach a pin to the tape and grab a pencil and make sure it goes through the rubber on the pencil, and make sure it spins

Groups size: 5

Roles:

Timekeeper

Counter

Recorder

Anemometer Manager

Wind Manager

Mount the anemometer in a place that has full access to the wind from all directions.
When the time keeper says "Go", the counter in each group will count how many times the marked cup passes them in one minute and write it down.
Repeat the above step four (4) times and record the number of spins on the chart.

Place name on school grounds  &  Number of spins in 15 seconds

1. Field - 11
2. Old J Block site - 0
3. Grass hill in quad - 1
4. Tennis Court gate - 0

CONCLUSION:
The field was the windiest spot in all four spaces because, there's nothing blocking the air from getting to the air anemometer. In the middle of the field there are no trees and the air can easily get to the anemometer.

The tennis court gate has 0 spins because, there are trees blocking the air from getting to the anemometer, the wind kept on changing direction.

The old J block site had 0 spins because the construction gate had little holes and the air was going in all different directions, and not towards the anemometer to count how many spins there were.

The grass hill in quad had 1 spin because its high up and there were no trees blocking the airs way to get to the anemometer.

And this is what my poem says:
Spring is fun, under the sun
don't forget to put your sunscreen
on, remember your free

on this very sunny day, in
evening the beautiful
sunshine sets

and in morning, it is more
beautiful, SPRING IS FUN

Key points on "Underground Explorers"

Here are some key points on the story "Underground Explorer's" that I am reading for reading

  • There is a straight trail from Bulmer Cavern to Blue Creek Cave.
  • Neil Silverwood made the same trip and climed Mount Owen.
  • There are 8km between the end of Bulmer Cavern.
  • Bulmer Cavern already has 72km of passages.
  • There are a maze of 4-metre-wide tube passages.
  • Many of the walls in Bulmer Cavern are coated with Moonmilk.
