Health - Vape task

What...is in a vape and how does a vape work?

Vaping is a vapor created by an electronic battery-powered device that is inhaled. They are filled with a liquid that usually contains nicotine, flavorings, and chemicals. The liquid is heated into a vapor, which the person then inhales.

Why… is it harmful in the short term and long term?

Some of the theories about vapes are that they blow up, if people vape continuously for a long period of time the harm caused could progress and cause major harm. If you vape for a short period of time then it can cause more frequent coughing & wheezing.

What...are two perspectives about vaping (what are they) and why are these perspectives held?

Some people think that vaping is something to help blend in and be cool & others think that vaping is a good way to quit smoking.

Why... might young people choose to vape?

Some young people might feel pressured to vape because others say so, or might see older kids vaping around school, and since that the older kids are the role models to the younger kids. Others might do it because they treat it like a personal trait.

When….and why did vaping become an issue in NZ?

Vaping became an issue about 2 years ago when more and more people started to use them, they are set for 18yrs & over but since then young people around 12 - 14 or more around those ages have somehow got a hold of a vape and have been using them which causes harm to them.

Your choice….what do you conclude about the importance of this health issue to young New Zealanders?

What I think would help conclude or at least minorly stop issues with vapes in New Zealand is bump the age of getting a vape up to 21+ my may or may not make changes.

Reflect on Drama

What I have enjoyed in drama is being able to learn something different in every lesson. What I've learned is that there are multiple genres of drama.

1. Comedy, I enjoy comedy as it's something to express your sense of humor I've seen multiple different movies that contain comedy.

2. Thriller, I enjoy thriller as it keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time and always has some type of tension, a thriller I've seen is called Squid Game.

3. Horror, in my opinion horror movies/shows are the best because of their enjoyability & creativity they're able to create such real horrid scenes and that's what makes a good horror movie.

This is a scene from a horror movie called "Scream"

New Zealand Landmarch

What we're learning about is the New Zealand Landmarch, and which days they rested then saved the places they rested onto google maps or google earth.

What worked well was how google maps were so easy to use to save the places so I could screenshot them.

What was challenging? I didn't really find this too hard to do so nothing was really challenging.

I wouldn't do anything differently, it was a pretty simple task to complete.

This is a screenshot of all of the places that the maori rested during the NewZealand Landmarch. They traveled all the way from Te Hapua to Wellington on foot.

  29. Subject to law

  30. Human rights cant be taken away

Most important Human rights:

Right to life

Human rights cant be taken away

Right to thought and religion

Right to education

Right to privacy

No slavery

Same right to use the law

---------------------------------

Why these are all most important:

Everyone has the right to live, no matter what type of person they are.

Human rights cannot be taken away as there should be fairness between other people.

Right to thought and religion is important for a wide range of people, and it wouldn’t be fair on others that have been raised around religion to be discluded because there were no human rights.

Right to education is important because, after the first woman, Malala Yousafzai risked her life for other women to have an education, so we must respect that. Education helps people become better citizens, get better-paid jobs, and it shows us the importance of hard work.

The right to privacy is important because many generations before us did not believe in privacy, and privacy gives us the power to choose our thoughts and feelings and who we share them with.

No slavery is important because slavery is forced labor. Slaves being bought and killed off then replaced, it isn’t good for humanity.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why is the right to life important to human rights?

It protects your right to live, this means nobody not even the government can try to end your life without having a proper reason why to. It also means the government should take appropriate measures by making laws to keep you safe and sometimes take large steps to keep your life from risk.

Why cant human rights be taken away?

Human rights we simply have because we’re human, that's one of the same reasons why human rights cannot be taken away from people. They should not be taken away, except in specific situations and according to process. Human rights can only be taken away if needed to only if you’re in a situation where you have no choice but to lose your human rights.

Why is the right to thought and religion important?

It protects your right to your freedom, thought, belief, and religion. It includes the right to change your beliefs and/or religion at any time, you also have the right to put your beliefs into action. You could include what to wear religious clothing, the right to talk about your beliefs, and/or take part in other religions.

Why is the right to education important?

Education is essential for the development of human potential, enjoyment of the full range of human rights, and respect of others, the right to education encompasses civil and political rights, and economic, social and cultural rights. Education is also a fundamental right for the exercise of all human rights.

Why is the right to privacy important?

Privacy is essential and important to human, it gives us the right to be ourself without judgment, allows us to think freely without discrimination, and is an important element of giving us control over who knows anything about us.

Why is slavery a violation of human rights?

Slavery is forced labor and human trafficking, and when in happening it strips people of their freedom also their own rights. People deserve a saying of what they do, and human trafficking and slavery are not allowing them to embrace freedom.

Why is everyone born free and equal?

Why everyone is born free and equal is to ensure that every individual has an opportunity to make the most of their lives and talents. Believing that no one should have poorer life chances, because of where, what, or whom they were born. Whatever they believe shouldn’t be seen as anything less than other beliefs.
